A 290,000 square foot adaptive reuse project in a landmark San Francisco warehouse.
The Historic Baker & Hamilton Building, a San Francisco landmark, was rehabilitated to accommodate 200,000 square feet of modern office and multi-media workspaces. Originally constructed in 1905, the 290,000 square foot warehouse is a masonry and heavy timber structure. Unique features such as the historic entry, the rooftop sign and the large interior light well skylight were preserved and repaired. Improvements include new entrances, elevator and stair core, mechanical and electrical systems. A new 57,000 square foot office building and 300 car parking structure completes the development and is located adjacent to the existing building.
